ATS was started in 1999 mainly in the field of hardware software and networking due to which our initial strong presence was in the networking segment of the Indian Information Technology market, dealing with both hardware and software.

Methanol in crude oil impacts water treatment systems in refineries because bacteria involved in cleansing the water preferentially break down methanol, leaving hydrocarbons and toxins untreated. Methanol is miscible in water, so is present in the desalter effluent. Refineries often choose to cut crude runs rather than risk a "bug kill" - a large upset that would require major remediation and could cause violation of environmental legislation, permit exclusions or future penalties.

Triazine compounds are commonly used as scavenger chemicals in crude oil to remove hydrogen sulfide H2S, in a process sometimes called "stripping".  These triazine based additives are often present in excess of the levels required to prevent the H2S release, this excess and the by-products of the scavenging reaction with H2S, cause corrosion and fouling in downstream equipment.  Consequently there is value in petroleum processors being able to quickly measure excess concentration of scavenger before custody transfer.

Propofol (2,6-diisopropylphenol, a.k.a. Diprivan) is used as an intravenous general anaesthetic.
